Oracle Magazine awarded Holmes' the prestigious Java Developer of the Year in November 2002 for his work with the Struts Framework & Jdeveloper. Holmes was among 17 other developers worldwide in their StarSelect campaign for OracleWorld 2003 (he was recently in San Francisco to be filmed for the event)--where he spoke on Java development. James is a committer on the Struts project, meaning he is one of a small number of people that direct the development and future of Struts.
