Contributor Bio(s): Duprai, Evelyn: - "Evelyn Duprai is a freelance Australian vocalist who has performed with a number of ARIA award-winning artists across several different genres including electronic pop artist Paul Mac, rock band Silverchair, and Australian jazz legend James Morrison. She has also sung with Larry Braggs and David Garibaldi from the world renowned funk band Tower of Power, as part of their first-ever "Legends of the Tower Of Power" Australian tour. Performing with these prolific artists has enabled her to grace the stages of some of the most iconic and prestigious concert halls, theatres and festivals that Australia has to offer such as The Sydney Opera House, The State Theatre, Sydney Olympic Park and the Leeuwin Estate Winery in WA. Evelyn is no stranger to television either, having sung in the house bands for several TV shows including Australian Idol, and she has provided guest backing vocals for shows such as The Voice and Good News Week. As a session vocalist, Ms. Duprai has also sung on a number of TV advertisements, several Australian movie soundtracks, album recordings and a documentary. Although Evelyn's resume confirms her versatility across several genres such as blues/rock, soul, and jazz, the timeless art of jazz vocal is definitely a sweet spot for her. Ms. Duprai has also co-hosted several successful niche music events, set up a band of her own, and is regularly called upon to assess and coach tertiary level students in live music performance - a subject she is passionate about. Evelyn Duprai is currently based in Sydney Australia where she works a freelance vocalist and stagecraft coach for singers and singer-songwriters."
