Many of these visitors stayed to populate the growing metropolis. From the ornate European-style architecture to the fountains and gardens, the amusements of the Pay Streak, and the exotic Oriental exhibits, the AYPE entertained and educated while bringing needed business to Washington State.

Shauna has worked for over three years at UW Special Collections Library, where she became passionate about the AY PE. Brennan is a collector of local history artifacts and is a published author. They have gathered from UW Special Collections Library and Museum of History and Industry hundreds of stunning images that capture the spirit of the AY PE.
