Sprague, a historian, lecturer, artisan, musician, and the author of seven Arcadia Publishing books, works at Black Hills State University and the University of Iowa. He is a former resident of Bryan County and has appeared on national television programs about history. Sprague was born and raised on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota. He is a descendant of Chiefs Hump I and II and Chief Crazy Horse. |
