Markel, the Civil War curator at the University of Tennessee s McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture, has spent the last 20 years studying the history of her adopted home and bringing the story to audiences young and old throughout the community. She earned a doctorate in anthropology at the University at Buffalo and an MLS at Indiana University. |
