Publisher Description:
While Traveling from my home state Ohio to Tennessee I was fortunate to find a memorial for the Wright Brothers Birth Place. I had visited Kitty Hawk and had been involved in the argument of the Red Cardinal. It seems the Red Cardinal is the State Bird for Both Ohio and North Carolina. Now North Carolina contains Kitty Hawk. Ohio does not dispute the fact that the Wright Brothers invented the air plane in Ohio and needed the right conditions for the test flight. The site on the Outer Banks of North Carlina near Kill Devil Hills was found and the first flight took place there. Almost 3 foot ball fields. Now Ohio claims that the plane was then taken to a large field in Ohio and flight was perfected and Ohio was the state that made flight possible. To the author it is neither here not there however was gratified to find the birthplace and information about the Wright Brothers going a few miles off the beaten path and thru many corn fields to find the birthplace.
