Publisher Description:
Having morning coffee with my husband, he asked me what my plans were for the day. I told Steve that I was getting a haircut and then going shopping. I lied. After the haircut, I was going to meet Vinny for lunch at Special Teas. I know that sounds awful but Steve would turn the lunch date into an investigation. Here's the problem; my husband doesn't understand nightmares or the supernatural. If I told Steve about my dream, how I watch a train grinding the tracks at midnight, observing the object as if I were a bird, he would tell Gwen all the gory details. During lunch, Vinny and I will tackle the dream. He won't judge me because we're both intercessors and we have a good track record on solving cold cases. Hitting every red light, I was late. Tardiness infuriates my friend. Before lunch was brought to our table, we got into several wrangles. Vinny asked if I discussed my nightmare with Steve. I changed the subject. The man kept harassing me, questioning why I didn't tell my husband. His premise, my life could be in danger and he can't be with me 24/7. Moving on, Vinny immediately dropped the A-bomb. He asked me why I was ignoring Steve's affair. I didn't have an answer. To make our lunch date even more contentious, he said we were in a relationship. I denied his supposition but deep down, I knew he was right. Not that we've ever been intimate but we've been tempted. Arriving home, Steve said we were invited for dinner at Vinny's. He forgot to mention it at breakfast. Maria's mother was visiting from Mexico. In addition to those plans, we had to pick up Gwen and take her to Robert Senior's. Gwen's luxury car was in the repair shop. Driving through the gated entrance, the security guard knew my husband. Maybe Vinny's right. The other woman slid into the backseat and the temperature in the car plummeted ten degrees. Conversation was a bit tense. Just before we dropped Gwen off at her destination, she boldly handed me a very expensive business card. The two of them colluded. Monday morning, I have an appointment with a shrink for my supposed mental disorders attributed to my heart attack. The evening got worse. When I greeted Vinny's mother-in-law who was lighting the candelabras on the dining room table, the woman went into a screaming frenzy. I'm a doppelganger of her dead sister, Rosa. Here's the scary part - in my dream, the name on the nun's prayer book is Rosa. Evidently, Rosa has unfinished business and I'm part of it.
