The story takes place in the 15th century in England during the turbulent period of the War of the Two Roses. The young hero, Richard "Dick" Shelton, discovers that the person responsible for the murder of his father is none other than his guardian, Sir Daniel Brackley. He joined the ranks of the Black Spire outlaws in Tunstall Forest to accomplish his vengeance and save Jeanne Sedley, the elect of her heart that Sir Daniel wants to marry to another. At the end of many adventures, he was made a knight by the one called Richard III of England and saw the assassin of his father undergo a well-deserved punishment, before convolving in marriage with his beloved. |
