Publisher Description:
Drawing from his personal research, experience as a church leader and Bible student, Dave Clark describes a lacking in personal Bible reading within today's Christian church and how Christians can regain a dedication to reading the Bible. He does this through having us explore our attitudes and approach. To enhance our attitudes, we learn what the Bible says itself why we should read it, and we are given guidance on how we can make Bible reading a habit. To enhance our approach, practical assistance is provided helping us pick the Bible translation right for us and questions provided to check our understanding as we read the Bible through. Dave gave a TEDx talk in March, 2017 on the subject of "Teen/Adult Dialogue on the Subject of Faith," and is scheduled to give a second TEDx talk in March, 2019. He has previously written a book called A Path Through The Bible, now on its second edition and in both hard cover and digital form. Dave has over 15 years college and University teaching experience, including working for the University of Redlands and the University of LaVerne. He also has 15 years market research experience, including with Honda and Mattel. He is currently a church elder with Calvary Chapel Life, Huntington Beach, California. He has served in their Men's Ministry, Sunday School, Usher and Personal Devotion ministries. He and his wife, Helen, have been married for 42 years, have two children, and live in Southern California.
