Publisher Description: Are you a values-driven person? God has provided the standard. Learn how to live by His standards. In a world of increasing moral relativism, there is one set of values that has not changed. In The Values of Jesus, pastor and storyteller David Crosby takes a look at the teachings of Jesus and shows us how to align our life's values with what God holds important. What we value dictates how we spend our time, money, and energy and can distract us from or propel us toward a Christlike view in areas such as: love, family, money, relationships, traditions, institutions, and more. |
Contributor Bio(s): Crosby, David: - Pastor, author, and former reporter David Crosby has helped countless people evaluate their values. After one of the nation's most horrific natural disasters, Hurricane Katrina, he and his church were responsible for deploying 21,000 volunteers to projects including 1,100 home recovery operations and 91 new home constructions. To this day, his former church deploys approximately 100 volunteers a week in a dozen intentional ministry outlets in the city. David, author of The Care Effect and Your Pain Is Changing You, is active in community and denominational affairs, and has received many awards and recognitions for his civic involvement. He and his high school sweetheart, Janet Rose Crosby, split time between their Texas farm and New Orleans and have three children and seven grandchildren. |
