Contributor Bio(s): Mickelson, Joan: - Joan Mickelson's family was one of the first to settle in Hollywood, Florida. She grew up there and received her doctorate from Harvard University in art history. For over thirty years she was a museum curator and director in art and history museums throughout the Eastern United States. Also a biographer, she has written about various artists and a book on Hilla Rebay, the founding director of the Guggenheim Museum.
