Contributor Bio(s): Bartley, Randon W.: - Randon W. Bartley is the Editor of the Jeffersonian Democrat and has written about the history of his home county for over twenty years. He is a past president of the Jefferson County Historical Society, where he served on the board of directors for 22 years. He is currently on the board of directors for Historic Brookville Inc. Mr. Bartley is also a volunteer with the National Park Service and he does historical interpretive programs at several Civil War battlefields. In 2004 he was named a Pennsylvania Ambassador by the Pennsylvania Legislator for his activities promoting the Commonwealth's history. He served as the chairman of Jefferson County's Sesquicentennial Celebration. He is the chairman of several Brookville festivals. |
