Silberman is the deputy director of Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater, Maryland, and a board member of the Small Museum Association. She is also the treasurer for the Friends of the Greenbelt Museum and a committee member for the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area. She lives in Greenbelt, Maryland, with her husband.
