Jacqueline Vater Warner was born in northern Kentucky and lived there most of her life. She graduated in 1973 from Northern Kentucky University with a BA degree in secondary education, and in 1983 with a MS degree in secondary education. She taught for several years in public school and the Weekday School of Religion. In 1976, she began teaching at Orchard Street Christian School, where she taught for 25 years.
