Publisher Description:

Many of the books I read on ADHD and ADD disabilities provides you with symptoms, and technical terms that are hard to read.

I understand the concerns, frustrations and overwhelming feelings you have in finding resources, and getting the support services in school for your ADHD and ADD child.

Today it seems that we not only have to understand the different stages of child development but have an education on different types of disabilities our children can developed.

My book will focus on several important issues such as temperament, sensory issues, social skills, psychological evaluation, IEP VS 504 Plan, strategies in school and home, Transition Services in high school, and diet.

I would like to tell you about my journey that has led me to writing this book. I would like to provide a personal perspective, resources and guide you in supporting your child who has been diagnosed with ADD and ADHD.

There are many books about Asperger's Syndrome and Autism. Many of the books I have read teach parents about symptoms and go into detail about the disability.

My book will focus on several important issues such as temperament, sensory, social skills, evaluation, IEP, strategies, and transition services.

I understand the concerns; frustrations and the overwhelming feelings parents have in finding resources for their children. This is a journey you will be on from the day they are diagnosed until they reach adulthood.

The questions will become did I do everything possible in helping and supporting my child with this disability.

Honestly, the first instinct I had as a parent was to think it was possibly being a boy or he is going through the terrible two's, three's but as time prevailed, I found that I was making up excuses for my son behavior and delays.

Most parents read up on the different milestone's children accomplish, but today you need to educate on the warning signs for all kinds of disabilities.

I would like to tell you about my journey that has led me to writing this book. I would like to provide a personal perspective, resources and guide you in supporting your child who has been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome or Autism.
