Publisher Description:

The Daniel And The Spanish Robot Teacher's Resource Book is full of fun activities and games to accompany the Daniel And The Spanish Robot stories from books 1, 2 & 3. The story books each contain two stories and are available to buy separately. The activities and games in this teacher's resource book have been created for pupils aged 3 - 7 by a qualified and experienced foreign languages teacher. Although the words in each section match the Spanish words used in each story, this teacher's resource book is ideal for teaching Spanish to 3 - 7 year olds and can also be used without the stories.

The fun activity sheets in this book are photocopiable and include making things that would be useful for role play:
- cut out characters from the stories to be stuck on lolly sticks or straws
- grocery store poster
- caf menu
- toy shop poster
At the back of the book are some pretend Euro mini cards that can be used for role play. There are also various photocopiable activity sheets to help embed the Spanish vocabulary introduced in the stories from books 1, 2 & 3.

The numerous games that appear in the book may be photocopied and include: board games, pairs mini card games, collect ALL card game and dice games. Once photocopied, the games are an excellent classroom resource that can be used time and time again. The lovely games can be
photocopied onto A3 card and played with the whole class together. Games are a great way to engage pupils so they have fun whilst they are learning in a meaningful context. And activity sheets help introduce the children to the Spanish written words in a fun way. This book of fun activity sheets and games is ideal for both class and home use.

Photocopiable Games For Teaching Spanish

Contributor Bio(s): Leyland, Joanne: - Joanne Leyland specialises in writing books teaching foreign languages to children in a fun and engaging way. Her varied range includes activity books, holiday phrase books with challenges, special Christmas editions, photocopiable games and stories. Joanne studied languages at University and she lived abroad for almost 2 years in the 1990s. Before she became a teacher she worked in exporting where she enjoyed speaking her foreign languages on a daily basis. She has now been teaching languages to 3 to 11 year olds for almost 20 years. The two things she loves most about teaching is seeing her pupils enjoy her lessons and using her creativity to help them learn. When she isn't teaching or writing another book, she's probably speaking French, Spanish, German or Italian with her friends, trying out a new recipe, swimming or gardening. She's still a lot to learn about growing vegetables, but she's giving it a go, and believes it's always good to learn something new.
