Joy has a Master of Arts degree in art education from Boston University. Her thesis research focused on art education for the blind and visually impaired. She employs art education as a therapy, and with her own work, creates art that helps children learn visually. Joy lives near San Diego and enjoys spending time with her wonderful children, Calvin and Nathan.Lyon, Shari: - Author, actress, playwright, teacher and musician, she lives in Escondido, California just a few miles from the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park with her husband, Neil.
