Publisher Description: Renewable energy has emerged as a highly sought after energy source in Bangladesh in recent times due to the current power generation crisis. Being a delta country surrounded by Himalayan Mountains, It is impossible to get natural water without artificial dams. On the other hand solar power though a possible source, unfortunately comes with lots of construction cost and maintenance yet not with great efficiency. On the contrary to these two renewable sources, wind flow is abundant and available throughout the year. But even here we have to take economic feasibility into consideration. The only system of energy production that uses wind to produce electricity till now was wind turbines. So, keeping all of the points in mind, an alternate source of wind energy known as "Wind-belt" is the perfect solution. Wind-belts can replace a lot of energy sources due to its lesser cost and simple construction. "Wind-belt" can go a long way in salvaging the crisis of electricity in Bangladesh. |
