Gr 2-5-Landau provides an insightful, informative, and orderly description of the events as they unfolded from Election Day, November 7, 2000, until December 13, 2000, when Al Gore conceded defeat. The author describes how the election tested our democracy and electoral system, and sparked necessary reforms. A time line effectively summarizes all of the important events, and full-color photographs on nearly every page enhance the text. The book is appropriate for reports and for gaining a better understanding of those 36 days when no one knew for sure who would be president.-Pamela K.
