Contributor Bio(s): Shenta: - Shenta Arnold was born as Patricia Lynne Kuby, in the small northern town of Lynn Lake, Manitoba. At the age of six, her family of eight relocated to Winnipeg. While still involved in many activities, she spent fifteen years struggling to overcome ulcerative colitis. This took her to many good places on her life's path. With an introduction to yoga and meditation in her teens she began her journey into natural healing modalities which she continues to use to keep her health and the health of her family. She enjoys free-form dancing, playing guitar, and solitary sports like swimming, biking, kayaking and cross-country skiing. Shenta is the mother of three grown men. Daniel is a professional actor, director, and playwright. The youngest, Dion is a professional comedian and banjo player. Her stepson, Liam, follows his own creative path. For thirty years, she made her home with her husband, Gary, in Spruce Grove, Alberta running a successful landscaping business. They have recently retired to Vancouver Island and spend their leisure time playing music together and entertaining others with their eclectic folk/roots music. These poems are a culmination of her many years of journaling. Some of them have been set to music.
