Publisher Description:

Daisy the Dachshund Children's Series was a dream put on hold for over a decade. When Daisy was 11-years-old in June of 2018, her mom, Shannon, came home to Daisy on the floor, suffering from what appeared to be a stroke. Daisy was immobile, barely able to move her head and tail, with no movement in her paws. She was taken to the vet where little hope was given for her survival or even a partial recovery, but he promised to do the best he could. After two days, she was stabilized and eating soft food on her own. The veterinarian let them know he would be sending her home and that whether or not she made a recovery, she would be happier with her family. There were only hopes and prayers that she would continue living. Day by day, Daisy the Dachshund got better and better. Within nine weeks she went from needing round-the-clock care to living a normal life again, other than being on thyroid medicine and having a slight wiggle in her walk. She is definitely a happier dog with a new lease on life. Daisy the Dachshund overcoming this setback was inspiration for Shannon to get "back to the books" and make the dream of publishing this series a reality. This series is based on real-life experiences and the lessons to be learned from them.
