Publisher Description:
Hellfires of Grief II: More Love Poems is a collection of 222 poems written during the second eighteen months of my bereavement following the disembodiment of my beloved Carol Susan. Hellfires of Grief: Love Poems is a collection of 222 poems written during the first eighteen months. Together Hellfires I and Hellfires II cover the first three years of my experiences of loss, grief, despair, and the slow transformation from seeing only with eyes of loss to also seeing with eyes of love. The combined 444 poems provide an intense and intimate look at my journey into the hellfires of grief and black nights of the soul after the disembodiment of my soulmate. The companion to Hellfires I, Golden Dreams I presents 111 dreams converted into poems covering the same time period as Hellfires I. Golden dreams provide the healing energy of the spirit realm. Golden Dreams II, currently in process, covers the time period of Hellfires II and beyond. The 444 Hellfires poems summarize my waking daytime experiences while the 222 Golden Dream poems summarize my dreaming nighttime experiences. The poems provide a glimpse of the healing energy of the spirit realm which has facilitated my transformation from seeing only from eyes of loss into also seeing from eyes of love. While the transformation is a life's journey, I am sharing the first three years of my bereavement experience with the intent to offer assistance to others experiencing their own hellfires of grief. In a culture where dying, death, and grief are taboo, my decision to share my experiences of the first three years is an attempt to offer alternatives to the conventional wisdom of just getting on with one's life. Grieving and bereavement honor and venerate disembodied love ones maintaining a flowing of healing energies between the beings of spirit and embodied souls. As the poem "poems & POEMS" states: I create healing poems not POEMS not ART healing poems heart's tears translated into words best I can not a POET wounded being licking my woundedness with wordsIt is my hope, wish, and intent that sharing the words I use to lick my woundedness after the loss of my beloved will offer a measure of comfort and healing energy. May the words lick your woundedness and assist your healing transformation. May you be blessed seeing from eyes of love. May you and yours be blessed with golden dreams. C. Eldon Taylor
