Contributor Bio(s): Rains, Charlotte J.: - "Charlotte (C.J.) Rains is an award-winning author who was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She now resides in a small desert town in southern Arizona where she spends the better part of her days writing poetry and chatting with her fellow writers. Charlotte is happily married with three beautiful children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She's currently the author of 4 published poetry books, and her works can be found in numerous anthologies both nationally and internationally. Charlotte is currently working on another collection of poetry, as well as 4 more children's books - 3 which are for her latest children's poetry series titled, Flitter Flutter Crawly."Macvean, Alexandra H.: - Alexandra H. MacVean is a freelance illustrator based in Fort Collins, Colorado. She's a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Women's National Book Association, and the United States Board on Books for Young People. She's also a three-time Barnes & Noble Artist of the Month and the host of the ever popular, national/international online art co-op, Sunday Sketches. Her artwork and illustrated children's books can be found at various bookstores and coffee shops, both nationally and internationally. Her work has been published in online children's magazines, greetings cards and more. Born and raised in Southern Ohio, Alexandra grew up with 3 brothers, a dog, and her two best friends, Heather and Brian. Whether it's red barns, squirrels or cozy front porches, you can find snippets from her childhood and everyday life, tucked within many of her magical illustrations. Married to her best friend and confidant, Michael (illustrates also and is a graphic designer), who continually inspires her artistically as a children's illustrator. Sharing a love of family, tea, England and cozy winter days, they can often be found together each drawing works of whimsy, while bundled up with Alexandra's 11-year-old pups, Brendel Joseph.
