Contributor Bio(s): Markham, Ian S.: - Ian S. Markham is a British-born priest of The Episcopal Church who was appointed as Dean and President of Virginia Theological Seminary in August 2007 and serves as Priest Associate at St. Paul's Church in Alexandria. He has a PhD from the University of Exeter in the U.K., where he focused on Christian Ethics. Other degrees include MLitt in Philosophy and Ethics from the University of Cambridge and BD in Theology from the University of London. Before being called to VTS, Markham served as Dean and Professor of Theology and Ethics at Hartford Seminary in Connecticut, and at Leeds Metropolitan University, Liverpool Hope University, and University of Exeter in the U.K. He is the author and editor of numerous books.
