Contributor Bio(s): Ellsworth, Roger: - Roger and Sylvia Ellsworth have similar backgrounds, being born to Christian parents, growing up on farms in southern Illinois, attending rural churches in their childhood years, and coming to know the Lord at an early age. They first met in March of 1967 when they were serv-ing on a revival team, which had Roger preaching and Sylvia playing the piano. They became engaged in the fall of 1968 and were married in June of 1969. They have two sons, Tim and Martyn, and five grand-children. Now retired, Roger served for many years as a pastor of Baptist churches in Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, and Ten-nessee. Sylvia has devoted her years to homemaking and serving in various capacities in churches. Their love for the gospel of Christ and the desire to en-courage others to love it as well has led them to write My Coffee Cup Meditations. Roger's sermons are available to listen for free on SermonAudio.com.
