Publisher Description: John Morgan left Wales in the early 1800s to find religious freedom from an oppressive English Church. He found a new life in Ohio where he wed Mary Shaw, a widow of George Long. The family resettled in Scioto, Ohio on Blue Run Road and founded a Methodist church across from their home. They had a number of children of which included the Methodist missionary and poet Robert Dennison Morgan. This resource uncovers the lineage of their descendants and provides research into Morgan s Welsh heritage. This is a first genealogical resource with notes specifically for descendants of John Morgan and Mary Shaw. |
