After years spent working with 4 - 7's, completion of a B A in Early Childhood Studies and time spent as a college lecturer, Griffey decided to focus fully upon writing. One advantage of so many years spent within the classroom, is that many of the poems, found within Revenge of the Goldfish, have been 'tested and approved' by school and pre-school children. Children can be harsh critics! Happily settled in the South of England, Griffey is often to be found scribbling poems late at night, aided only by a strong coffee, Tchaikovsky the cat and Canada a young Labrador dog. During the day a number of writing projects are underway, including a time travel adventure story for 7 - 10's." |
