Contributor Bio(s): Malbon, Mandy: - Mandy Malbon has known Cowboy's mom and dad since she was a little girl. She was a young student in their Taekwondo Martial Arts School. Mandy is now a career artist who enjoys working in multiple media from painting to woodburning. As a mother, illustration is a particularly rewarding endeavor. She received her BA in fine arts from Christopher Newport University in 2007 and has been a licensed tattoo artist since 2011. Mandy lives in Virginia with her husband Ryan, three children: Skylar, Caden, and Samantha along with their Tuxedo cat, Molly.Gagnier, Susan Arce: - Susan Arcé Gagnier lives on Amelia Island in Northeast Florida with her husband, Frank, and their three pups; Cowboy, Angel, and Arthur. Susan started telling stories to her children and later to her students, clients, family, and friends. Most enjoyed the stories and would often ask for more. "There is something very special," Susan believes, "about stories. Whether they be parables, fables, legends or stories, the time spent listening and enjoying can bring healing to the soul and rest to the body." "Some of my favorite memories include listening to or telling stories. I still remember sitting on my Grandfather Gampy's lap along with my sister, Gail, as he read, "The Night Before Christmas." My father would insist on taking home movies with a very bright light shining in our eyes. Gampy loved to tell us the story of how he became bald; I think it was somehow my grandmother's fault! I remember, too, my Irish-Scots father and his three brothers gathering to tell stories with all four brothers taking a part." "Although I greatly admire those whose ability it is to write books hundreds of pages long, it will never be my intention to write a lengthy novel. I simply wish to tell a short story and to tell it well." An avid reader, Susan's favorite authors are: George MacDonald, C.S. Lewis, Jan Karon, and Patrick Taylor.
