Contributor Bio(s): Traina Donnes, Cynthia: - Cynthia Traina Donnes (B.A, M.A.) began her legal career overseeing bankruptcy cases for a statewide bank's legal department. She soon was appointed as a bankruptcy trustee for the Eastern District of Louisiana, at the time, one of the youngest in the country. She later was appointed as an Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), hearing securities matters. She recently qualified with the Louisiana Bar Association as a Civil and Family Mediator. She currently teaches Technology in the Law and Bankruptcy Practice and Procedures at Tulane University, where she also revised and taught the Notary Public Preparation course, as well as the Legal Ethics course, and employed interns as part of the Paralegal Internship program. Expanding her teaching beyond the classroom, she presents at seminars and conferences and provides continuing legal education as an accredited sponsor through the Louisiana Supreme Court. ABA certified from the University of New Orleans, she holds a Masters in Legal Studies from American Public University, a Louisiana Notary Public commission, and both Series 7 and Series 66 licenses with FINRA.
