Annotation: When the author's fourteen year old grandson said he was going to throw a brick through the store window, because they would not honor their money-back guarantee, the author explained it would be faster if he simply picketed the store. Following that advice, he got his money back in less than five minutes.
In The Rebel, the author cites many examples of how he rebelled primarily against politicians, lawyers and bureaucrats. He tells how he forced the Association of Engineering Geologists to change their unconscionable Code of Ethics. When a new runway was completed at the Los Angeles International airport, he forced the FAA to close the runway until they realigned the final approach zone. When the city of Rosemead stopped picking up everyone's garbage for no payment of rubbish fees, he forced them to change the law so no garbage was left uncollected. This book tells about other acts of rebellion that were all kept within the framework of the law. His last act of rebellion is where he offers a $10,000 reward to the first person who can prove he had a trial in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County # SM04C01472. A full certified transcript of the case is included in the book. He says that because he is costing California cities a lot of money by telling people, for free, how to avoid paying for undeserved parking tickets, the California courts have tried to stop him by gang-raping the lady of justice.
