Publisher Description: Chorley, the beautiful market town in central Lancashire, has a wealth of history that dates back to the Bronze Age. The town today is filled with a rich heritage, evidenced by the patterned cobbles and crafted ironwork on its streets, along with the former mills and remnants of its industrial past. Grab a slice of Chorley cake and join author Jack Smith as he delves into the town's hidden history, letting readers in on all of the lesser-known tales from Chorley's past, including those related to its early history, its people and its buildings. |
