Although our lights are single in flame because we are not married, that does not mean our lights should be overlooked. Singles have a place in ministry too; therefore more attention should be given to all singles from different categories and the singles ministry instead of them being viewed as afterthoughts. Since there are so many categories of singles, it became apparent that all singles should not be lumped together in one singles group and offered ministry. Couples have only one category, marriage; therefore they can be placed into one group and still receive effective levels of ministry. Different needs exist within each singles category; therefore the needs cannot be addressed if the categories are not properly identified. In addition to identifying the singles categories, singles ministry leadership is discussed along with suggestions for singles ministry activities.
