"How To Talk To Your Child About Mary"

What if I told you that your child has an important part to play in helping Jesus carry out the work of redemption?

You don't have to take it from me. Take it from Pope Pius XII, who wrote...

"Because Christ the Head holds such an eminent position, one must not think that He does not require the help of the Body. Yet this, also, must be held, marvelous though it may seem: Christ has need of His members.

"Moreover, as our Savior does not rule the Church directly in a visible manner, He wills to be helped by the members of His Body in carrying out the work of redemption. That is not because He is indigent and weak, but rather because He has so willed it for the greater glory of His spotless Spouse" (Mystici Corporis, #44).

Think of all the child Saints in the history of the Church, like St. Maria Goretti, St. Dominic Savio, and St. Agnes. There's no reason your child can't be like them.

And think of how Mary requested the help of children during her many apparitions, such as those of Fatima and Lourdes.

Your role in preparing your child to help Jesus and Mary is indispensable. That's why the Church says...

"Since parents have given children their life, they are bound by the most serious obligation to educate their offspring and therefore must be recognized as the primary and principal educators. This role in education is so important that only with difficulty can it be supplied where it is lacking" (Declaration on Christian Education, #3).

This book helps prepare your child to help Jesus and Mary.

In fact, a respected priest who knew Fr. Neubert said he was "the only man I ever knew who could speak incessantly of the Blessed Virgin and always had something informative and interesting to say."

Here's some valuable advice Fr. Neubert gives your child:

"If you try hard thus to live your consecration to Mary in all your actions, your Mother will guard you from all sin, fill you with graces, and take you one day close to her in Heaven" (p.26).

"In order to acquire a great love for Mary, it is necessary to ask for it from Jesus Himself. Say to Him often, in particular, at holy Communion: "O Jesus, give me the grace to love your Mother as You Yourself love her!"

"God and Mary speak to you through your parents and your teachers. Obey them in order to obey your heavenly Mother!" (p.28)

As you may know, St. Maximilian Kolbe was so impressed with Fr. Neubert's Marian books that he reached out and struck up a friendship with him. He translated one of his books, and told his fellow Franciscans: "He has the exact same spirit as we have."

And it wasn't just St. Maximilian who reached out to Fr. Neubert. Frank Duff, Founder of the Legion of Mary, also developed a lasting friendship with him. And he tirelessly promoted Fr. Neubert's Marian books throughout Ireland.

Blessed Pope Pius IX said:

"The foundation of all our confidence, as you know well, Venerable Brethren, is found in the Blessed Virgin Mary. For God has committed to Mary the treasury of all good things, in order that everyone may know that through her are obtained every hope, every grace, and all salvation. For this is His will, that we obtain everything through Mary."

So, teaching your child about Mary is the surest way to assure your child's salvation. And the sooner, the better.

Because the Bible says: "Train a boy in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not swerve from it" (Prov. 22:6).

Therefore, if you'd like to train your child to help Jesus carry out the work of redemption and save souls, why not give this book a try?
