Publisher Description: A Hillbilly Revival is a story set in the rural of Fallsburg, Kentucky during the mid-1950s. The focus is on the interactions of four families coping to get along with one another. There are eight sections to this book. Each section has an introduction and a vocabulary. The introduction is not only important to that particular section but also to the entire book. In the first section, we are introduced to the families on Long Branch Road and how the community tries to get along. In the second section we have farmers who realize the need of their children get along together for the future of the community and the willingness of the parents to work together behind their teenager's back. In the third section, the gospel is introduced to everyone and everyone realizes that the Bible may hold more than they realize and they indeed need to reexamine their beliefs. In the following sections everyone is introduced to the God in the Bible. There are some prophecies and some sub-lingual messages in the each section. The story is set in a love story setting on how teenagers and adults must re-examine their own personal growth to reach a state of spiritual development and mature living. And naturally it isn't always easy and sometimes takes some divine intervention. |
