Publisher Description: This report documents the objectives, approach and findings of a collaborative process to develop a science agenda related to the effects of climate change on Southern California (SoCA) coastal National Park Service (NPS) lands: Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Channel Islands National Park and Cabrillo National Monument. The focus of the approach was a workshop held on April 27-28, 2011 on the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) campus. The workshop was a cooperative effort between the Mediterranean Coast Network (MEDN) of the National Park Service Inventory & Monitoring (I&M) Program, and two centers within the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability: the UCLA La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science and the UCLA Center for Climate Change Solutions. |
