Contributor Bio(s): Trunfio, Alessia: - Alessia was Born in southern Italy in 1990 but she grew up in Rome, where she still lives. She has wanted to be an illustrator since she was a child. After a Degree in the Animation course of the International School of Comics based in Rome in 2013, Alessia has worked as Background Artist for some of the most important roman animation studios. She currently works as a freelance artist on various Animation and illustration projects.Shimose Poe, Mayumi: - Mayumi Shimose Poe is a freelance editor and writer. Recent work has appeared in Bamboo Ridge, Drunken Boat/Anomaly, Frontier Psychiatrist, Hawaii Women's Journal, Hunger Mountain, Hybolics, and Japan Subculture Research Center. She has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize by Hunger Mountain and won an Editor's Choice Award from Bamboo Ridge. She is a proud graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Vermont College of Fine Arts; has been on staff with Bamboo Ridge Press, Hawaii Women's Journal, and American Anthropologist; and is a reader for Black Lawrence Press. She lives with her husband and two sons in Los Angeles. |
