According to Guinness World Records, she is the best-selling novelist of all time, her novels having sold over four billion copies and having been translated into more than one hundred languages. The Agatha Award for best mystery and crime writers was named in her honor. Fox, Emilia: -Emilia Fox, an acclaimed and award-winning actress, most notably played the title role in the play Katherine Howard at the Chichester Festival Theatre, and Clara Copperfield in a television movie production of David Copperfield. In 2004 she began playing pathologist Nikki Alexander on the television series Silent Witness. In 2006 she garnered much praise for her role in the independent comedy-drama Cashback. Hickson, Joan: -Joan Hickson (1906-1998) was an actress who appeared on stage in several plays and in over seventy films. She is best known for playing Miss Marple in the BBC television series, a role that was encouraged by Agatha Christie, who wrote, " hope you will play my dear Miss Marple" after seeing Hickson in Christie's Appointment with Death. |
