Publisher Description: Our Bible Fun Factory Lesson Plans are "the essentials". The lessons that every single Christian child between 4-12 needs to be taught. In this series of five lessons, we focus on the Genesis presentation of Jacob and Joseph, father and son, and how their adventures bring the nation of Israel into being. Students will join Jacob and Esau to learn that God is always fair. As Jacob works 14 years to marry Rebekah, we see that sometimes life is not fair, but God brings justice. Courage and persistence are taught through Jacob wrestling all night with an angel. Jacob has many sons, but his favorite is Joseph. Joseph and his brothers show children how they can make bad experiences into great experiences. The final lesson reinforces the lesson on courage and persistence, showing Moses' mother, who acted courageously to save his life. Lesson 1: Jacob and Esau We have 3 core beliefs when we create Bible Lesson Plans: 1) They should be EASY for the teacher to teach. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Each of the Lessons Include: -Materials List (Don't worry, nearly everything can be gathered up at a moments notice from your own house. For example, you might need to grab a big spoon) -Complete Lesson (Including our much loved "teaching script" that tells you exactly what to say ) -Scripture Reading (we put the scripture reading in the lesson, to make it easy ) -2 Games (Kids LOVE games, each game teaches an important element of the overall lesson and lets the kids get up out of their seat and move around. Typically one game is geared to young children 4-7 and another for the 8-12 year olds) -2 Intro Activities (These activities get the kids engaged in the lesson and help to fill the time as kids trickle in.) -2 Lesson Activities (These activities vary from object lessons, crafts, treasure hunts, and more) -Closing Prayer (Our closing prayers are each designed to leave the kids with a positive message and reminder of the lesson). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Class Length: Age Level: Prep Time: Denomination: |
