| Publisher Description: Step by Step is intended to assist learners in their first steps in the long journey of mastering the Bulgarian language and to give them some basic information about Bulgarian culture and lifestyle. Designed for beginners, Step by Step aims to cover survival language competencies, key vocabulary and basic grammar structures for level A1. The Manual consists of 12 units and each unit includes: - Vocabulary - the new vocabulary is introduced with pictures, followed by excercises; - Grammar - the main grammar rules are given in the form of tables and model structures, followed by exercises; - Dialogues - the language competencies are presented through dialogues; - Listening activity - the script is provided at the end of the manual; - Text - the new vocabulary and grammar is included as well as some additional vocabulary items related to the topic of the unit. The Manual has three appendixes: - Listening Script - script of all listening activities; - Culture notes - some information about Bulgarian culture and lifestyle; - Wordlist - the new vocabulary translated into English. In addition to the Manual learners can use a Workbook which includes exercises with an answer key for practicing the new vocabulary, grammar and language competencies presented in the units as well as some new dialogues and short texts.
