    About the Author Maurizio Mingardi was an atheist. He was a scientist; he did scientific research and taught at universities and research institutes in Canada and abroad. He was also a consultant, and held executive positions in the Canadian Public Service, including the Privy Council Office and the Prime Minister's Office.
    Unsatisfied with his achievements and seeking for answers, he had a personal encounter with God, became a believer, and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. He felt the call to the ministry, prepared and was ordained by the Evangelical Church Alliance Ministerial Fellowship of Canada. Presently, he is the President of this ministerial association.
    In 1983, Maurizio founded Mount Zion-Church of the Firstborn in Ottawa, Canada. He is still the Senior Pastor of this church.
