Publisher Description: This Greek reader is specifically designed so that most of the grammatical rules, morphological forms, and syntax necessary for one's linguistic understanding of the chosen text has already been done, and it all appears below the text for the easy convenience of the student. Hence, it becomes unnecessary for the student to leave the translation work or to have several other books piled up around the desk, since all that is needed to accomplish the hermeneutical task of a good translation is made available for them as footnotes on the same page that the reading appears. It is hoped that by this process, every student will regain that interest and desire to read the sacred scriptures as they once had. The reading of the Greek New Testament can become a life-long enterprise for students of the biblical text. Once this process has become familiar to the readers, they can develop the same methodology on their own and apply it to other New Testament books, and thus will enjoy their academic pursuit as biblical exegetes. There are several appendices of useful morphological materials available to the students toward the back of the Greek reader. |
