Publisher Description:
"Not Too Bad" is based on my diaries for the 5 years from 1970 to 1974. The book starts in 1970, my 'O' level year and goes through to when I joined the Leeds Permanent Building Society in 1974. A light-hearted and amusing read that recalls life in Birmingham, at Central Grammar School, Wragge and Co solicitors. There are Rock concerts at Mothers, The Mayfair Suite, The Rio, Birmingham Town Hall, and nights out at other pubs and clubs. There are boys holidays to Skegness, Torquay and Benidorm and more, with the odd relationship thrown in. And of course, there are parties with no jelly
