Contributor Bio(s): Guy, Joe: - Joe D. Guy is a nationally published author, syndicated newspaper columnist, storyteller, and historian from East Tennessee. Mr. Guy s popular column, Beyond the Blue Line, published from 1999-2004, was drawn from stories he had collected during his 12-year career as a police officer, deputy sheriff, EMT, SWAT Team commander, and detective. A Student of History, Mr. Guy has published several books, including the award-winning The Hidden History of McMinn County: Tales from Eastern Tennessee with The History Press in 2007. Currently, Mr. Guy is the Assistant to the County Mayor and County Historian of McMinn County, where he resides with his wife and children.
