Contributor Bio(s): Weber, Lisa K.: - Lisa K. Weber makes art for comics, kid's books, and cartoons. Her work has included graphic-novel adaptations of classic literature, illustrated books for young and middle-grade readers, and character and storyboard design for animations. She cofounded the comic book label HexComix in 2014, cocreating and illustrating its flagship title, Hex11, which earned a nomination for the Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity in Comics. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, raised in Wilmette, Illinois, and schooled in New York City, Lisa currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California, where she enjoys healthy doses of satire, science fiction, and classic-rock radio.Cella, Clara: - Clara Cella lives, writes, and draws in Red Wing, Minnesota. Her nonfiction titles for children celebrate all sorts of things, from groundhogs and U.S. presidents to aircraft, aliens, and trolls. She recharges her creative battery with hikes along the river bluffs with her dog, BetsyBoo.Hanson, Sydney: - Sydney Hanson is an illustrator currently working in Vancouver, British Columbia where she lives with her husband and two pets, an inseparable dog and cat duo. She knew she wanted to be an artist from the age of four when her first drawing of a six-legged cat(possibly a possum) was proudly displayed on the fridge. Animals and the natural world are still her favorite subjects. Born in Minnesota, she loves winter and spending time outdoors. When she is not drawing she can usually be found outside camping, hiking or horse-back riding.Westwood, Jon: - Jon Westwood lives and draws in the Greater Toronto Area. He studied illustration and design at Sheridan College, where he developed a fascination with stylized, edgy environments, characters, and fashion. He also loves to capture the mechanics of fast vehicles in his drawings. When he's not focused on illustrating, Jon enjoys watching animation and film.
