Contributor Bio(s): Borins Ash, Irene: - Irene Borins Ash, MSW, RSW, is a social worker, writer, speaker, and photographer. Her more than 20 years of experience in working with seniors includes working for various organizations dealing with seniors in Toronto as well as writing papers and doing photography exhibits. She lives in Toronto. Ash, Irv: -Irv Ash is a native-born Torontonian but was a lawyer in a Calgary law firm in the 1980s for six years. Returning to Toronto after a round-the-world trip, he was a corporate executive for seven years with various companies, including being vice-president at Cineplex Odeon Corporation. He then decided that his real profession was teaching, and after nine years part-time teaching at various Toronto colleges he has been a full-time professor at Seneca College since 2001. |
