He has built hundreds of projects, ranging from furniture to turnings and musical instruments. He was an editor for American Woodworker Magazine from 1994 until its sale to Reader's Digest in 1998. He has done a wonderful job editing books for Taunton. He lives in Reigelsville, Pennsylvania.Barrett, Niall: - Barrett runs Avalon Studios, a custom woodworking shop in Narrowsburg, NY. He specializes in custom-made cabinetry for Manhattan apartments, though he has also done some commercial work.Miller, Jeff: - Niall Barrett, a professional woodworker for over twenty-five years, is the author of "Bookcases," "Classic Kitchen Projects," and "Building the Custom Home Office."
