Publisher Description:

Kaitlyn and her family live on a farm close to a small town. While in town one day, Kaitlyn heard about a family who had a fire in their kitchen. Wanting to help, Kaitlyn (with her parents' supervision) plans a bake sale as a fundraiser, to help the family replace their appliances. Kaitlyn organizes bake sale signs, people to do the baking, and the setup/close down for the bake sale.

Her parents knew that she worked hard on the fundraiser and told her how proud they were of her. She has regular school work and friendships, too. Her friends are Stephanie, Landon, and Caden.

The following weekend, Kaitlyn's father took her on a hike at the lake. They saw many animals, like ducks and raccoons. It was beautiful and peaceful.
