A six-time Nevada Sportswriter of the Year, the Brooklyn, New York, native has lived and worked in Las Vegas since 1988. During that time, while working first at the Las Vegas Sun and the Review-Journal, he has covered virtually every major sporting event in Las Vegas. Carp has won numerous writing awards from the Nevada Press Association, Sigma Delta Chi, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Associated Press Sports Editors. He is the author of "Runnin" - UNLV Rebels - A Basketball Legacy." He is a past president of the United States Basketball Writers Association and a 2017 USBWA Hall of Fame inductee. A graduate of San Jose State University with a B.A. in Journalism, Carp lives in the Las Vegas suburb of Summerlin." |
