Publisher Description:

Sir Martin Grey was taught extensively by the old man. Martin would never forget his teachings; teachings like 'The smartest lord is the one whom his subjects regard as honourable; while the greatest fool is the one whom they consider a crook'.

Western Wild was a beautiful village in the Human Empire of Baazear. But as the sun rose over it that morning, its beauty was tarnished by the loud wails of its residents. James Grey, their beloved Lord, was found hanging by a noose from a tree. He had lost the election to the seat of Chancellor a few days ago.

The guards arrived and inspected the matter. They concluded that it was suicide. The children of the Lord disagreed and wept. The elders sons swore revenge. But the youngest one remained silent.

He perceived the matter in a totally different manner. He had realized that his family was vulnerable; it was not powerful enough to protect itself. To protect his family from the threats that lurk around, he needed to get hold of power; power over his enemies and over those who could become one. He needed to possess the weapons that were far dreadful than the ones possessed by those who threaten his family. The power that he would possess would act as a shield so that he never had to take revenge from anyone, he thought.

It was then that the old man visited the village and met Martin. The former taught and the latter listened. A God can never be wrong, Martin considered. Thus, started the journey of a young boy to establish a dynasty in his family's name. This is the story of Martin Grey.

But this is not a story only of Martin Grey. There were more.

Born and brought up at different places in the Human Empire; Malena Reed, Daemon, Ronald Nash and Suleman Cooper had developed divergent obsessions of their own. And they were well aware of the methods to help achieve them.

Little did they know, when their paths would converge while they satisfy their lust of obsessions, it would shook the very fabric of the Empire, plunging it into distress and destruction far greater than the one that occured thousands of years ago during the Great War fought between the empire of the humans and that of the monsters.

I remember, we were so young when it all started. Now, I am 65 years old and feel fortunate to tell all the worlds about what happened in the world of Baazear...
