Publisher Description:
The purpose of this research study is to gain understanding of the early Islamic history. In this study evidence providedm, wherever beededm, are based from authentic sources of Quran and Sunah of the Prophet (SAW). This treatise consists of ten (10) Chapters covering the historic events of the Era of Islamic history after the Prophet: The Era of Al-Khulufa-ur-Rashidune ("Rightly Guided" Caliphs). After the Prophet (SAW) the four righteous caliphs (Khulufa-Er-Rashidune) were fully conscious of their responsibilities. The history of Khalifat bears witness to it. When Abu Bakr (RAA) was on the death bed, he summoned Umar (RAA) and said: "Oh Umar Fear Allah. Be it known to you. There are certain affairs of Allah which need to be attended during the day time, the Almighty would not acknowledge them when attended during the night. Some of His affairs need to be attended during night time. These would not be acknowledged when attended during the day time. Beware Unless the obligatory duties are discharged, the supererogation will not be acknowledged."Umar (RAA) while explaining his responsibilities is reported to have said it in a sermon: "Oh you people Allah has entrusted me the task of blocking the cries of poor from reaching to His court." Usman (RA) is known for his generous charity and Ali (RAA) used to forsake his food in favour of poor and hungry. With the death of Khalifa Ali (RAA) the Era of Khufula -Er-Rashidune, came to an end. This Era was the most glorious period in the history of Islam which nourished the democratic ideas and ideals of Islam with republican governments to which Muslim always look back with inspiration and pride. It was the time when the ruler and the ruled, the rich and the poor, the powerful and the weak, were uniformly subject to the Divine Law. All through this period it had been the Book of Allah SWT] and the practices of His Messenger (SAW) - that is, the Quran and the Sunnah - which had guided the leaders and the led, set the standards of their moral conduct and inspired their actions. However, aftermath of martyrdom of the Khalifa Ali lead to a series of undesirable events which lead to the greatest tragedy of Islamic history at Karbala.I admit with full sincerity that I do not consider myself competent to undertake such a difficult and enormous job but I endeavored whilst seeking help from Allah (SWT) to enable me to complete this task without misleading to the readers in any way or form
